ABOUT GRETA VAN FLEET:
Greta Van Fleet is four young men, two are 18 (Danny Wagner/drums and Sam Kiszka/bass & keyboards), two just turned 21 (Josh Kiszka/vocals, Jake Kiszka/guitars); three are brothers, two of them are twins, and one best friend, all from the idyllic Michigan village of Frankenmuth (pop. 5000). They write and perform all of their own music; influences are varied, much of them rooted in their parents' vast vinyl collections - Jimi Hendrix, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, Tchaikovsky, John Lee Hooker, The Who, and the Yardbirds, as well as Robert Frost, "The Lord of The Rings," "Apocalypse Now," and Ernest Hemingway. Greta Van Fleet sound the way they sound, they play the way they play; what makes Greta Van Fleet's sound their own is that it's rooted in the band's own collective truth.
All four band members are high energy, intelligent, adventurous, well-read and laser-focused on their art. They were raised in homes that encouraged creativity and exploration, and maintaining the integrity of their own, personal paths. And, they've got a very 60's/70s-era message of love and peace and co-existence that they want to get out through their music.
