Music Video TakeOver with Producer/Songwriter Curtis Douglas

"Music videos are awesome, I grew up watching MTV, but I focus more on the actual song versus the video.  Here are a few songs that I absolutely love for various reasons."- Curtis Douglas

“Stop This Train” by John Mayer

The production is immaculate and the lyrics are thought provoking and inspiring.- Curtis Douglas

“Chicago Is So Two Years Ago” by Fall Out Boy

It reminds me of being young.  It came out in 2003.  This song and the entire album Take This to Your Grave was a huge part of my adolescent experience.- Curtis Douglas

“I Just Can’t Wait to Be King” by Tim Rice
and Elton John

I used to know every single word to this as a kid… and I still do.- Curtis Douglas

        “Simple Man” by Lynyrd Skynyrd

I grew up listening to this in my dad’s car and it was one of my first references for rock and roll.  Songs like this have really stood the test of time.- Curtis Douglas

“Pusher Love Girl” by Justin Timberlake

The vocal production is unparalleled, the songwriting is great, and it’s a good representation of modern pop – done right.- Curtis Douglas
