The band posted on Facebook announcing fall US and Canada tour dates and hinted at the music they have been putting together. It was like a beacon to many of their hardcore fans who have stayed the course, in hopes that they had not seen the last of Jordan Cook, the passionate force behind the wall of explosive guitar brilliance that is the stuff legends are made of – – – fire and fury. (Check out the formidable singles ‘In the Dark’ and ‘Are You Satisfied’ to get a flavor of the distortion-laden blues this guy can lay down).
Reignwolf has maintained a rather low profile conventionally, rolling across the country, gathering fans from their travels and live shows. That doesn’t mean they have not been on the music radar. Their resume’ includes a prestigious spot opening for Black Sabbath on their Canadian tour, playing at Sasquatch, Lollapalooza, and Voodoo Festival to name a few. All without a single proper album. In past interviews, the band has discussed what they feel are the challenges of capturing the “essence” of their live music.
After releasing one track last year,‘Hardcore’, fans looked to the release of a promised first full-length album — then nothing. If their short-list arsenal of singles gives a peek into what might be coming next, no doubt we are all in for an incredible churching in the school of Reignwolf.
